BSP (WhatsApp Business Solution Provider)

A WhatsApp Business Solution Provider (BSP) is a company approved by Meta to onboard businesses onto the WhatsApp Business Platform, host or broker the API connection, and often resell messaging, inbox and automation tools on top of it.

The WhatsApp Business Platform (the API) is not a phone app; it is a programmatic channel that a business connects to its own software. Meta offers two ways in: the Cloud API, hosted by Meta and open to any business or developer, and BSPs, partner companies that handle onboarding, number registration, billing and support, and typically bundle a shared inbox, template management and chatbot builders. Many international and regional BSPs serve the Gulf and Egypt.

Why it matters: the BSP you choose affects your per-conversation cost (Meta's conversation pricing plus the BSP's margin), how fast templates get approved, whether you can export your data and move later, and what happens when something breaks. A BSP does not change WhatsApp's rules; message templates, the 24-hour window, opt-in requirements and business verification apply to everyone.

Nano AI is not a BSP and does not need to be one. We build the AI agent and connect it to the WhatsApp Business Platform through the Cloud API or through the BSP a client already uses, so a Salla merchant in Riyadh or a clinic in Cairo keeps its number, its verification and its existing inbox. Questions worth asking any BSP: What do you charge above Meta's rates? Do I own the number and the WABA? Can I connect my own AI or CRM through webhooks? How long does template approval take in practice?
