We start from your monthly conversation volume and the average minutes a human agent spends per conversation to calculate the total human-agent hours needed each month. Dividing by 160 working hours gives the equivalent number of full-time agents, and multiplying hours by your hourly cost assumption gives the total human monthly cost.
Savings are simply the human monthly cost minus the AI agent's monthly cost, shown as both an amount and a percentage. At very low conversation volumes, an AI agent can occasionally cost more than the equivalent human hours — we show that honestly rather than floor the number at zero.
