Salla & Zid WhatsApp AI Agent: Your Store's Catalog, Answering on WhatsApp
Nano AI connects an Arabic-first AI agent to your Salla or Zid store through the official apps and webhooks. It answers product questions from the live catalog, tracks orders, follows up on abandoned carts, suggests add-ons, explains your returns policy, and hands off to your team with full context. From $199/month with a $490 setup — live in two weeks.
14-day money-back on Starter · 30-day measured report on Growth, or your setup fee back
Your store answers on the website. Your customers ask on WhatsApp.
A Salla or Zid store already holds the answers — stock, sizes, prices, shipping zones, order status — but the customer asks on WhatsApp, and whoever holds the phone has to open the dashboard, find the product, and type the reply. "هل الأسود متوفر مقاس L؟", "طلبي رقم 4821 وين وصل؟", "تقبلون تابي؟" — each one is a manual lookup, and every lookup that waits until morning is a customer who may have bought elsewhere. WhatsApp is the dominant business channel in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt, with penetration above 90% (market research, 2026), so the store's real front door is a chat window, not the storefront.
A generic chatbot doesn't fix this, because it doesn't know your store. It can greet in Arabic and show a menu, but it cannot tell the customer whether size L is in stock right now, where order 4821 is, or that the abaya they left in the cart is one of three remaining. The value is in the connection to the catalog and the order data, not in the chat itself. That is why this page exists separately from our general WhatsApp AI agents: the Salla and Zid integration is the product.
What the agent does inside your store
Every answer comes from the store, not from a script. The agent reads products, variants, stock, prices, and shipping rules from Salla or Zid at the moment the customer asks, and writes back what it did — the cart it created, the handoff it triggered — so your dashboard stays the single source of truth.
Live catalog answers
Availability, variants, prices, and shipping to the customer's city — pulled live, with a product link or image.
Order tracking
The customer sends an order number or phone number; the agent returns the status and the courier tracking link.
Abandoned-cart recovery
Salla and Zid emit cart events; the agent follows up within Meta's messaging rules with the cart contents and a checkout link.
Upsell and bundles
Suggests the matching item or the bundle you configure — not random recommendations.
Returns and exchanges
Explains your returns policy accurately, opens the request, and routes it to staff when a decision is needed.
Human handoff
Transfers to your team with the full thread and the customer's order history when it should.
How the Salla and Zid connection works
The integration runs through the official Salla and Zid app ecosystems and their webhooks, not through screen-scraping or a shared password. During setup we install the connector app on your store, authorise only the scopes it needs (products, orders, customers, carts), and subscribe to the events the agent reacts to: new order, status change, abandoned cart. Nothing is copied into a separate catalog that drifts out of date.
Payments stay inside your store's checkout. The agent sends the checkout link generated by Salla or Zid, so whatever you have enabled there — Tabby, Tamara, Moyasar, Paymob, or card — appears exactly as it does on the website. We do not process payments and never see card data. If you sell through more than one channel, the same agent can be attached to a Shopify or WooCommerce store as a second integration.
Dialects are tested, not assumed. Store customers write in Najdi, Hijazi, Emirati, Egyptian, and Arabizi, often mixing English product names into Arabic sentences. Every agent is evaluated against a golden set of real dialect messages before launch and after every model or prompt change, and you see the eval report.
When a Salla App Store bot is enough — and when it isn't
For many stores, a self-serve app is the right answer, and you should try one before paying for an agency build. Mando AI, for example, is listed on the Salla App Store and, as published on their website (checked September 2026), offers a free tier with 50 credits, a Growth plan at $59/month with 3,000 messages and WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger channels, and a Business plan at $149/month with ticketing. If your catalog is small, your questions are standard, your policies fit in a paragraph, and someone on your team is happy to write and maintain the prompts, that is a fraction of our monthly fee.
An agency-built agent earns its price when the logic is yours. Returns rules that depend on the product category and the payment method; bundles and upsells tied to margin; stock across more than one warehouse or branch; a CRM or ERP that must receive every conversation; cart-recovery sequences that respect Meta's template rules and your brand voice; dialect evals with a report you can audit. Self-serve plans are self-serve by design — with Mando, as published (checked September 2026), you configure the agent yourself and custom logic runs through its MCP tool support rather than an engineering team. We build, integrate, tune, and run it for you, and the 30-day report tells you whether it paid for itself.
A practical rule: if a $59–$149/month app would recover the carts you are losing, use it. If you have already tried one and hit its limits, or your store cannot afford a bot that answers wrong about stock and returns, talk to us — and start with the free WhatsApp Commerce Audit so the recommendation is based on your actual numbers, not ours.
Live in two weeks, measured in 30 days
Days 1–3: intake call, connector app installed on your Salla or Zid store, catalog and policies imported, Meta Business verification started. Days 4–14: agent built on the official WhatsApp Business API, dialect golden-set evals, cart-recovery templates submitted to Meta, and staging access for your team to try to break it. Days 15–45: live on your number with full instrumentation, ending in the day-30 recovered-revenue report — conversations answered, orders completed through checkout links, carts recovered, handoffs — which gates the Growth guarantee. Starter follows the same first two weeks with the catalog import instead of the live webhooks, and carries a 14-day money-back instead. After go-live, the Growth retainer covers tuning against real transcripts, template updates, and the report every month.
What we need from you is small: admin access to install the app, your returns and shipping policies as they are actually applied, and one person who can answer questions during the two build weeks. Salla and Zid merchants keep their existing WhatsApp Business number; customers see no change except that the replies arrive in seconds.
